I want to announce this, but people are going to have to pack a sandwich and drive somewhere to find it.

This is an amazing new song from mewithoutYou off their Sufjan/Devendra Banhart/Fleet Foxes/medieval inspired album. They seriously must have wrote this entire album on a farm cause every song has references to animals and food on it. Its a total departure from Brother, Sister and I’m still struggling with this new direction, but I love how they will never be pigeonholed. Every album is so individual its nuts. Anyhow, I have high hopes for how this grows on me. But no matter what, this song gave me shivers from the start. Its a straight up Aesop Fable. And yeah, pretty sure thats a tuba. So hope they bring that to the show in June

Cant believe i really just saw this broadcast during LOST. Took me about half way through to get what was happening here. I’m without words. And why is there no bush that was completely bare of leaves?! This isnt the fuckin 70’s.
